by Aashish Dalal, Chief Whiz

2 years ago, the Penguins defeated the Sabres in the first US outdoor NHL game. Last year, it was the Red Wings escaping the Blackhawks in a wild, high scoring affair. This year, a new chapter unfolds at Fenway Park with the Philadelphia Flyers taking on the Boston Bruins.

In only its 3rd year, the Winter Classic has turned into a wildly successful marketing initiative by the NHL to display its superstars in the outdoor scene. And for the 2nd year in a row, ParkWhiz will enable customers to reserve parking for the event online.

So get your tickets and reserve your parking now! It’s a great way to kick off the new year!

Could it be? Floyd Mayweather, Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao. The fight of the century. Well, while some may debate whether it is the fight of the century or not, the projections don’t lie. This fight will be huge. How huge? Many are predicting this fight to easily eclipse the Mayweather vs. De La Hoya fight which pulled in over 2.45 million PPV (pay-per view) customers. Whew. That’s a lot of dough.

With Pacquiao reportedly committed to the fight as of today with a set date for March 13, 2010, the only question remains…where will the fight take place? Well, if Jerry Jones has anything to do about it…hello Arlington, Texas and Cowboys Stadium

We’ll see…

ParkWhiz featured in the Dallas Morning News

This past Friday, ParkWhiz was featured in the Dallas Morning News. The article can be seen in our Press Section or on Dallasnews.com.

In the article, Jeff Mosier, who is a columnist for the Dallas Morning News and wrote the article, mentioned that Google Maps does “exclude some new streets around the stadium”. While we are aware of this issue, we tip our hats to our participating parking facility owners who have done a great job of providing intimate detail about their parking lot near Cowboys Stadium. This level of detail not only provides customers with upfront information such as tailgating options, shuttle services, on-site security detail, but also turn-by-turn directions and distance to help navigate the congested roads on gameday.

In the meantime, customers can rest assured that as ParkWhiz adds more parking facilities to its network, it will continue to build upon its existing platform to provide customers with a seamless and hassle-free experience!

Thanks for the write-up Jeff and for anyone interested in the latest happenings around Cowboys Stadium, check out COWBOYS STADIUM blog, where Jeff is a main contributor. It’s an interesting read on the happenings in and around Cowboys Stadium.
